Rob Carmack (From Bruce Springsteen sings the alphabet) and I are organizing a DFW meet up for the opening night of Blinded by the Light. In case you missed it, here is a link to the traler for this very Springsteen themed movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1YFA_J5JBU
We will be meeting up at Grapevine Mills AMC Theater (3150 Grapevine Mills Pkwy, Grapevine, TX 76051) on opening night August 16, 2019. As we get closer to the date, we will post the show time. I’m planning to be there around 6:00pm at the bar in the lobby. Hope to see all you Metroplex Spring-Nuts, Bruce Buds, Film fanatics there. Remember we were Born to Watch a Bruce Movie Together.
I think we should call the project #70for70, at least that is the hashtag I am going to use on Twitter. We have a couple of voice mails already. Please leave a voice mail at 469-249-2442 or record your message and send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. For those of you who are bilingual, please send your message in multiple languages. If you are musician, make your 1 to 2 minute clip in a song. By the way the 1 to 2 minutes is a guideline, if you can say what you want to say in 30 seconds great! If it is going to take you 5 minutes to express yourself, no problem. The deadline is 9/1/19 so let me hear from you!
A lot of fans, newspapers, blogs, etc are doing something for Bruce’s 70th Birthday. In fact I see a new podcast is starting up. I’m wondering if we could get 70 fans to record a birthday greeting and send it to me. I would edit it and have a special podcast for his birthday. Think of this as an audio version of Springsteen & I. Any interest?
If so send a message to email@example.com or call 469-249-2442. State your name, where you are from and a brief 1 to 2-minute greeting for Bruce. share why his music is important to you and wish him Happy Birthday.
If you have any questions, post them here or email me and I’ll do my best to answer them. The key is to get the request out to the Springsteen fans. So please share my request on your favorite social media websites.
I’ve joined the 90’s and the podcast will now have a website. Don’t know for sure what it will become but the longest journey starts with one step. I’ve had a very kind Bruce Bud offer to help me design the page and I’m playing with the options. Please go over to the “Contact me” page and tell me what you would like to see on the website.
