Like many of us, I’m spending a lot of time watching TV during the pandemic. The latest show that Linda and I binge watched is Apple TV’s For all Mankind.
The premise is simple, what would have happened if the Soviet Union had landed on the moon first. How would that affect NASA, the Presidency, society? The show runner in Ronald D Moore the creative force for the Battlestar Galactica reboot as well as the Starz series Outlander.
The series is a great period piece since it is set in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Lots of drama both at NASA and in outer space. The cast features Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, Hanna), Sarah Jones (Alcatraz, Vegas), Michael Dorman (Patriot, Wonderland) and Shantel VanSanten (Shooter, The Boys).
Since I was a kid during the original Apollo program, I was obsessed with the Moon Landing and NASA. The show brings back happy memories and a sense of wonder. It’s worth your time. I give it 9 out of 10 glasses of Tang.
